The hazards ranged from low birth rates and infant mortality to elevated rates of cancer deaths. The federal study which appeared to be on track to be suppressed indefinitely was eventually released in draft form by the CDC after 'The Center for Public Integrity' (for whom Sheila did the investigation) released excerpts from the study.
